Month End Review!

Month End Review=Sick!

Yep, to sum up this ENTIRE month would be to label it SICK! That has been the one and only thing going on in the Anderson house throughout the month of February! A WHOLE MONTH OF SICKNESS! YIKES! I am praying with all my heart that March proves to be much healthier and happier for this crew! So, I am sorry for lack of pictures but I didn't figure people would want to see our lovely family throughout this past month. Hopefully next month will be posted with happy pictures of beautiful people!

The only wonderful thing about this month has been my most precious husband! He has waited on us, cooked for us, cleaned for us, entertained for us, done everything in his power to help us feel better! I am so unworthy of such a man! He is the best thing that has ever happened to me and I am so grateful that God has blessed me with Travis Anderson!

Change

Why do we run from change? Why, when faced with a decision we KNOW is good and right, do we close our eyes and pretend like we don't see what needs to take place? Why do we fear what ultimately could be the greatest thing to ever happen to us? The unknown? Perhaps...but I run toward adventure! I love a good mystery! I'm not so sure it is just the unknown that scares me as much as it is the idea of starting something new. Beginning again. Sometimes I live in constant unhappiness, I live in the dreariness and mediocrity of a situation all because I am fearful of moving on! My feet feel cemented to the floor and I am unable to take that first "baby step" of faith! With all my heart I want to LEAP out of the boat but I allow my fears and my "what-ifs" to keep me locked in my comfort zone! I stand shaking the bars of my prison cell screaming to be released when the key to my own freedom rests comfortably in my pocket. WOW. What a mess I am.

So many thoughts running through my my head. I am tired and I want more!

Cards from Namaw!

My children might only be 4 and 2, but they already LOVE getting cards and letters in the mail. Especially Wesley! He will open it up, read it, and then carry it around with him for days. After he is done carrying it around, then he will put it on his dresser until he receives a new one...even if the next one doesn't come for another year! He cherishes those cards with every meaning of the word! Namaw, Travis' grandmother, is the greatest at sending cards. For every holiday, a card will show up in the mail! As soon as Wes knows there is a holiday approaching, he starts looking in the mail, waiting for that VERY important card! It is so much fun watching his excitement.

So Namaw, thank you so much for all those wonderful cards! Wes and Emmy can't wait for the next one! Love you!

Heart Shaped Pancakes:)

I have to tell the world what my most wonderful husband did for me this morning. First of all, he couldn't go to work b/c he has strep throat. So, while I was still sleeping, he made me breakfast in bed! A beautiful heart-shaped breakfast of pancakes and orange juice! It was the sweetest thing ever! He was sick and bringing ME breakfast in bed! AWWWW! Aren't I blessed!

I won't think about later in the morning when he made a "special" pancake for Charlie, our adopted dog! I am sure MY pancakes meant MUCH more than the dogs! Let's hope so anyway!

PS...Molly, you don't have to worry about Charlie being taken care of properly. He is treated like ROYALTY!

A "Happy" Day!

Well today was a good day. According to Emmy Grace, it was a very HAPPY day. Why? This is the story from Emmy Grace:

"Mommy, this happy day!" Emmy exclaimed with excitement while riding home from Bible Study.

"Why is it a happy day Emmy Grace?" Mommy asked

"Cuz..."

"Because why?" Mommy asked again.

"Cuz I not get a spank spank today! Happy day! I a happy girl today!" Emmy smiled with pride!

"Yes, it is a happy day!" Mommy smiled.

Maybe she if FINALLY getting it.
