so blessed...

I am sitting here, in the quiet moment of my afternoon otherwise known as "rest time"...and I am reflecting over the amazing blessings God has poured out over my life. God has given me 3 amazing children...each personality a uniquie gift! Wesley is so full of life...he asks a thousands questions a day...random things...but he is always so curious and eager to learn! About anything really! He just wants to know everything! I am so glad that he is my firstborn! And not only do I get to be his mommy, but also his teacher! He is the student every teacher dreams of...he rushes through breakfast, brushes his teeth, gets dressed, all in a frenzy of motions...chomping at the bit to start schooL! And when it is over...he BEGS me to do more! Every subject, every new concept is like the coolest game to him...he can't get enough! He is so helpful! He told me yesterday that "being a helper" is WAY more fun than playing! I love it!

And Emmy Grace! She is the funniest little girl I have ever met! Unlike Wesley who is a definete people person, she is perfectly content being alone! She can play with her toys all day long if I let her...happy as lark! She loves her big brother so much and wants to do everything he does! She is my singer...she will sing on end for hours! Some songs real, others made up about nothing in particular! She will make a wonderful mommy one day...she copies everything I do with Baby Luke! She loves giving him kisses and holding him! She wants to do what is right and good...but sometimes the thrill of the moment is much more exciting! Although the older she gets the better at obeying she gets...she still had rather ask for forgiveness than permission! She hates getting in trouble, especially from Travis. Her little lip will begin to quiver and tears will well up in her eyes if Daddy even LOOKS the slightest displeased. She takes great pride in things she can do all by herself! She gets so distracted! No matter how big or little the task may be...she is for sure going to get distracted and the task left for another day. I love her. She loves being a girl! She fears that one day she might turn into a boy...and that really bothers her. She likes being a girl b/c she gets to wear pretty dresses...she is my radiant ray of sunshine on any rainy day!

And Luke. He is the sweetest baby I have ever had. He loves to cuddle and be held close. He loves mommy more than anything right now. My other two didn't mind being away from me...but already at 6 weeks old, he loves being held in my arms. Some days I wish it wasn't so...but most days I love it! He gets mad really easy and quick...but we are hoping he will outgrow that one. I can't wait to see what he will grow to be!

All of them really...they are still so young and have their whole lives to grow and experience things. I just pray that they will love Jesus above all...and live life to the fullest! I am blessed! And so happy! Thank You Lord!

Anywhere...

We were getting ready to go for a walk when I realized it was pretty chilly outside. So I bundled Luke up in his winter gear...then laid him on the table while I ran to the bathroom. When I walked out I had to snap this photo b/c it was so funny looking...there is my baby, just lying on the table like it is the most normal thing in the world. WOW...the things you will do when you are on #3! Crazy!

Sweet Baby Luke:)

Just an ordinary day loving on our brother. I am so glad that God didn't let me stop at 2 kiddos. He always knows best! Thank YOu Father!

Loving Papaw!

I have the greatest dad in all the world. He blesses my heart...and one way he does that is by loving my children so much! He gives of himself like I have never seen...loving with everything he has inside him. He holds nothing back...making each person feel loved and special by the attention he pours on ya! It makes my heart smile to see my kids light up when they are around their Papaw! And Luke is living in it early...so blessed! Thank you Dad!

First Day Of School!

Well, today began our first day of homeschooling! And it was a success! So much fun! The kids wanted to just keep on going! The only challenge was keeping Emmy busy while I did "real" school with Wes. I taught her a few things but she gets distracted easily and she talks ALOT! I'll have to come up with a better plan for her tomorrow. But Wes did so well! He caught on good and was super excited for everything. Maybe this won't be as hard as I thought. Thank Jesus I have a smart kiddo...he made it easy to teach and very fun! Thank you all who encouraged me to do this. I am so grateful for friends who spur me on. (Esther, Kaylynne, Laurie, Mom and Fatima!) I'll post pictures later...keep us in your prayers though...

Amazing Mommyhood!

I am sitting here, out of breath, and amazed at how much one person can accomplish in one evening! Praise God he gives women, especially mothers, the ability to multi-task! My husband stands and scratches his head as I race circles around him. And, it seems the more tired I am, the more I can get done! I don't understand it at all! But I love it! And truly thank God for it! Just thought I'd share...

My Gang with their Grouse!

We headed out again today and Travis' hunt was a success! He shot 4 birds...we would have stayed out longer but it was so muddy and we need new tires! We were all over the road! But I had to post the pics...Emmy Grace thought it was so cool when daddy SHOT the birds...but when Travis was cleaning them at the house, she was freaking out, exclaiming..."DON"T HURT THE GROUSE DADDY! Your hurting his belly when you cut him! STop it!" Travis told her that the bird was already dead and that it wasn't hurting...but she didn't understand! The only consolation was when we told her that the bird was going to be our meat later...then she was a bit happier! (she LOVES meat!) We had so much fun...but I definetly have a strange family when my children choose grouse hunting over going to play at Mcdonalds! Got to love it!

Sweet Faces

Today was a rainy day! With 3 kiddos that didn't feel too well, we opted to stay inside. Bordem set in so the camera came out! It is so much fun capturing the faces of these sweet, precious babies! LOVE IT! Enjoy!

My Hunters:)

Today was our first day out grouse hunting for the season! And this year, I have 3 hunters! Emmy Grace informed her daddy that she can hunt grouses too! She got one of Wesley's camo shirts out of his drawer and proclaimed that she had to wear this just like Wes and Daddy! Guess my girly girl has a mind of her own! We had a fun day! No grouse... we headed out too early in the day...but it was a fun adventure! Next time I'll have a picture with the gang and their grouse:)

Loving my brother...and my cat!

Just a lazy Thursday afternoon...loving on my brother...and my cat!

Wes's First Salmon

This one got away, but it was the only one we got on video. Travis is loosly holding the middle of the rod for insurance purposes only! Wes did all the work though.

Valdez in July:)

This past weekend we took a trip to Valdez. We had to get out of Fairbanks b/c we were in desperate need of fresh air. It couldn't have been a more beautiful and relaxing weekend. It was so amazing! We fished, even though there were only Pink Salmon, we still had fun catching. Wesley caught his first salmon, all by himself!
God is so good to give us such raw beauty! I have to say that Valdez is one of my favorite places in all the world!

Sweet Baby

Emmy Grace LOVES her baby brother! He is so tiny that he fits in Emmy's babydoll cradle. We have had fun playing with Luke. The only thing now is, Emmy thinks her baby doll is JUST as important as baby brother. So, we are trying to pretend along with her. It is so cute. We hold her baby, she feeds her baby, changes her diaper, changes her clothes, her baby has become apart of the family. I am thankful that she loves babies as much as she does. Bringing home a new baby has been such a smooth transition...she is now the BIG SISTER...and she is perfectly content with that title!

Baby LUke!

So, I went in on July 7th for an appointment...but my blood pressure was so high that they made me stay for a 24 hour observation and urine test. That next morning, the doctor came in and told me that I definetly had the toximea and that they were going to schedule my c-section for that afternoon. So, after trying to wrap my mind around having a baby a month early, they wheeled me off and we had Luke James Anderson that afternoon. He weighed in at 7.4lbs and 19 inches long. He is beautiful!

A Pretty Princess:)

We were out for a walk the other day and we couldn't let this photo opportunity slip by. She looked so cute walking around in the flowers...some were bigger than her! But she reminded me of a little girl on LIttle HOuse on the Prairie. So cute!

4th of July

For the 4th we stayed in Fairbanks b/c Travis had to work. But we made a day of it at Pioneer Park with our friends and listened to Travis play. It was fun and relaxing...and it only eneded up being 4 days before I delivered Luke.
